What is Fownd?

Fownd is an app for iPhone and Android that tells you if something is worth buying to resell, after fees. Point it at anything (old, new, collectibles) and it names the item, prices it from live eBay listings, takes out the fees, shipping and packaging, and gives a BUY, CONSIDER, BORDERLINE or PASS verdict. Then it tracks every flip, and it can list the item on eBay.

How does Fownd decide if an item is a deal?

Fownd weighs the profit you would keep after fees against how sure it is of the item. Fownd works out your profit at your price, then scores profit, demand, confidence and comps: strong profit on a confident match is BUY, then CONSIDER, BORDERLINE and PASS. With no prices it says NEEDS DATA, and with no price from you, NEEDS PRICE.

Can I list on eBay from Fownd?

Yes. Open an item you've bought or saved, tap List to eBay and connect your eBay account once. Fownd drafts the listing: title, item specifics, condition and description. You check it, type your price and tap Post to eBay. Drafting and posting both need Pro.

Who is Dot?

Dot is Fownd's guide, a lime orb whose name stands for Deal Or Toss. Dot welcomes you when you create your account, then gives a one-time tip the first time you open each part of the app. Skip them anytime, and replay them from Profile.

How much does Fownd cost?

Fownd Pro is $19.99 a month or $119.99 a year (saves 50%), and everything in the app is part of it. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial of Pro. Start it in the app; cancel anytime in the App Store or Google Play before it ends and you pay nothing.

Is Fownd free?

Fownd starts with a 7-day free trial of Pro for new subscribers, then it's $19.99 a month or $119.99 a year until you cancel. Pro is the whole app: scanning, verdicts, live asking prices and profit after fees, sold prices, Burst, the watchlist, listing on eBay, inventory, live sessions and the lock-screen count, the dashboard and the tax pack. Cancel anytime in the App Store or Google Play before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

Where do the prices come from?

Every price comes from eBay: live asking prices, sold prices and sell-through. The other platforms are used for their fees, not their prices.

Which selling apps does it work out fees for?

Six: eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Facebook Marketplace and Grailed. Pick where you will sell and Fownd takes out that platform’s fees, plus shipping and packaging.

Do I have to sell on eBay?

No. Sell wherever you like: Fownd works out the fees for all six platforms. Posting a listing from the app is eBay only.

Is my data sold?

No. Your scans, inventory and history are yours and are never sold. The privacy policy is at joinfownd.com/privacy.
